Finding Peace and Balance in Minimalist, Bullet List and Quotes!

on

Hey Peace Seekers!

I hope the day is off to a great start. I just practiced yoga! Feeling great! Wrote some free verse in my journal and now here I am jonesing like crazy for some coffee lol.

My purge continued yesterday. I gathered together my sewing/quilting stash and tried to organize it. I don’t think I did a great job so today will be part two but it shouldn’t take long. Yesterday took two hours!

Today I want to:

  • draw four cats
  • make machine draw a fairy house
  • work on my mushroom painting that is in progress
  • pick out free verses to go in the new issue of The Zen Pen Peace Project
  • work on Christmas ornament drawings
  • watercolor a fairy house

For Home:

  • Purge something in the studio
  • do the laundry
  • make bread
  • rise dough for Sky’s lunch
  • clean the tub
  • purge a little bit in Rainy’s old room

So in honor of all the purging today’s free verse is running on the theme of minimalism 😀

Edit your life frequently and ruthlessly. It’s your masterpiece after all.”

I’m learning to make things nice for myself. Slowly building myself a home with things I like. Colors that calm me down, a plan to follow when things get dark, a few people I try to treat right. I don’t sometimes, but it’s my intent to do so. I’m learning.I’m learning to make things nice for myself. I’m learning to save myself.
I’m trying, as I always will.”

“I’ve found that the less stuff I own, the less my stuff owns me.”

“Your home is living space, not storage space.” DSCN5338

“Often removing is improving.”

“Finding peace of mind usually demands that we lose some things and some people.”
― Mokokoma MokhonoanaDSCN4283

“Declutter your mind, your heart, your home. Let go of the heaviness that is weighing you down. Make your life simple, but significant.”
― Maria DefilloDSCN5605

“Clearing clutter—be it physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual—brings about ease and inspires a sense of peace, calm, and tranquility.”
― Laurie Buchanan, PhDDSCN5051

I could go on and on, I’m loving these quotes so much but time is slip slip slipping away from me now and I want some music and art today too so I’m wrapping this up now and saying one more thing…meet me back here tomorrow and
