It’s a brand new day Peace Seekers!
No Ashtanga because it’s a moon day. The full moon. The big beautiful full moon. I can’t go without yoga entirely though so I did practice.
I practiced a really good hip opening yoga flow just shy of two hours followed by 10 minutes of meditation and in this day, in that time I realized the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year and found solace and peace there. It was an eye opening experience that I can’t really put my finger on or explain except to say that life is what we make it.
Our reactions to life and all the players in the game. We can’t control other people but we can control how we think and act and react and what we believe and what we allow into our subconscious by what we watch and listen to and the folks we spend time with.
We can make time for ourselves for self care…reading, writing, listening to good music, meditating, practicing yoga or hiking or soaking in a bath with candles. Whatever personal care means to you, do some of that a little bit every day in some way.
Today I found peace on the yoga mat meditating and believing my goals for a good future are possible. Possible for us all Peace Seekers, just one moment at a time, one breath at a time, one baby step at a time. It’s only a matter of using those moments, those breaths, those baby steps moving through and then past fears, and obstacles and negative self talk. Forward motion.
