hey peace seekers.
so today i’ve been thinking about dollhouses. i love dollhouses. i have always loved dollhouses. i like the little worlds that can be created there. you can move around the furniture and make up stories.
anything can happen in the world you create, it can be snowing in the middle of summer or it can be summer in the middle of winter. there can be fairies or mysteries or well, anything you make up. in the pretend world you are only limited by your imagination. like einstein said…
Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.
i once had a job making miniatures. i loved that job. i make those worlds. i created libraries and farmer’s markets and garden cottages. i made schoolhouses and baby nurseries and kitchens. i even made santa’s workshop! it was so much fun! that was a good job.
i think that is what i do now in a way. i create little peaceful worlds with inks and paints and waxes and well, just about everything.
okay so trip down memory lane is over…for now.
hope sunday is full of bliss and good memories and i hope you can stop by again tomorrow as we begin a new week!
ok technically it’s not a dollhouse but a puzzle by kim jacobs and i love it!
