I Love Fall!!!

Gray skies, drizzly day, sleeping kitties, foraging squirrels, daydreams of campfires and tents and icy mountain lakes. Hot coffee, warmed up monkey bread, cinnamon and spice and everything nice. Crackling fires, warm vanilla sugar lotion, chenille socks and hand knits. Fleece throws, good movies, snuggling for just five more minutes. Homemade soup, just out of the oven yeast bread, apple butter, apple crisp, apple picking in the mountains. Good music…Harrison, Lennon, Atlanta Rhythm Section and The Commodores. Barefeet and blue jeans tattered and torn and worn. Bold and beautifully colored fall leafs on the ground in little piles perfect for jumping into. Acorns, pecans, walnuts, Thanksgiving menu tastings. It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and will he ever kick the football? Football Sundays, flea markets, brunches of eggs and toast and oatmeal and strudel. or pancakes tossed in the air flipping landing back in the cast iron skillet that was passed down. Scarecrows and Indian Corn, Indian Summer, Indian food. Crowing roosters, sitting hens, flamboyant peacocks, and tall gentle horses. Hay bales and tractors and farmers in overalls. John Deere and Carhartt and Earth shoes. Hiking, climbing, strolling, soaking up peace love and happiness in Nature. Art supplies…crayons, oil pastels, colored pencils, inks working in the studio late at night after everyone is asleep or outside on sunny chilly days as birds sing and dogs bark and life goes on as it should. It’s fall in the country y’all! Enjoy it!! Meet me back here tomorrow at my little barefoot home…Peace Love Art ~image
